Story of Malachi Walker, Creator of PWRxend
Hello, I'm Malachi Walker. I am from Tacoma, Washington.
I created PWRxEND to bring identity and community to anyone within the hybrid space. I've had a passion for both running and lifting since I was a teenager. When I was 12 years old I ran my first 5k in Tacoma, Washington. When I was 14 I competed in my first powerlifting competition in Copperas Cove, Texas. From there I grew a passion for doing both and have many stories in both facets. Growing up I was influenced by coaches, online communities, and science to believe I could only pursue one or else I'd suffer detriments in the other.
As I got older and began to understand how to formulate my own programs, I began to challenge the belief I had been told since I was a teenager. At this time, the hybrid community was gaining attraction, and my passion for both running and lifting was stronger than ever.
Having a genuine passion for hybrid training, I felt the need to create a platform that would support others on their journey, just like me. People who share a passion for hybrid training.
I chose the name PWRxEND, because it represents two things in life, the power to choose how you define your potential, regardless of what people tell you, and also the endurance to keep going when things don't go as planned.
The hybrid training space is often misunderstood, looked at as a fad or a trend, but I'm here to embrace my own philosophy of redefining potential, by redefining the hybrid community.
As I pursue my own endeavors in this space, I hope to empower others to do the same.
My name is Malachi Walker, and I'm here to inspire, educate, and reshape the conversation around hybrid training.
